One of the most important things you can do right now is to stay informed from trusted resources. Our goal is to make sure you have the information you need to stay healthy and that you know what steps to take if you think you might have COVID-19.
What should I do if I think I might have COVID-19?
Please isolate yourself at home and call us immediately so one of our healthcare providers can assess you. We have deployed our telehealth / telemedicine services for all of our patients therefore one of our doctors or physician assistants and or nurse practitioners will virtually take care of you and provide you the care and guidance you need in accordance with CDC and state and local government guidelines.

Can I be tested for COVID-19?
We are working together with the Texas Department of Health Services and other health care providers like South Texas Health Systems so we can guide you through the testing procedure. Currently resources are limited, and testing facilities are making efforts to conserve resources for the most critically ill patients.

What are some symptoms of COVID-19?
Symptoms of COVID-19 vary a great deal ranging from mild to severe and include:
- fever
- cough
- shortness of breath
Some people also experience muscle aches, headache, sore throat and diarrhea. If you are exposed to the virus, symptoms would occur within 2-14 days.
These symptoms are also found in many other common infections.
What if I have a clinic visit, or lab procedure scheduled at an ASAS Health?
To protect the health of patients and staff, beginning Wednesday, March 19:
- Some visits may be converted to a virtual visit when appropriate please call us at 956-292-0100
- We are limiting those who accompany patients to our clinics until further notice to one per patient. Those accompanying the patient must be over age 18 and cannot be sick.
- We have started a fast track to process patients as quickly as possible, please note that if you are ill, you may be asked to wait in your car, or you may be offered a virtual visit.
